Trial Recognition:

Kent Adams successfully defended Hill & Griffith in Bryant & Shackleford v. U.S. Silica, a multi-plaintiff, toxic tort case, which resulted in all defense verdicts, and was named by The National Law Journal one of the Top Ten Defense Verdicts in the United States in 2002.

Mr. Adams defended Fluor in In re ROC. The Texas Lawyer, January 27, 2004, after summary judgments of no liability were affirmed against all Plaintiffs, named this case “Case of the Week”.

Mr. Adams and Ms. Davis successfully defended their client in Lonas v. Fluor, which was featured as “Case of Note” in Verdict Search, January 2004.

Mr. Stanley successfully defended at the trial and appellate levels his media client in Pt.  Arthur I.S.D. v. Klein, 70 S.W.3d 349 (Tex. App. -- Beaumont 2002, pet. den.), a case of first impression in Texas litigation involving governmental standing to bring defamation actions against members of the media.  The case has been discussed or mentioned in various legal journals including: RECENT DECISIONS IN THE LAW: State Court and Lower Federal Court Decisions: Primary and Secondary Education, 32 J.L. & Educ. 92 (2003); Using Law Against Itself: Bush v. Rev. 1515 (2003); and SMALL TOWN POLICE FORCES, OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES AND THE MISAPPLICATION OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE SMALL GROUP DEFAMATION THEORY - A PLEA FOR FUNDAMENTAL FAIRNESS FOR MAYBERRY, 6 U. Pa. J. Const. L. 881 (2004).
